SAMSUNG Electronics Eco-partner Certification System
SAMSUNG Electronics started its eco-partner certification system in 2004 to reduce hazardous substances in parts and raw materials and to promote its environmental quality system to partner companies. The eco-partner certification system encourages partner companies to comply with international environmental standards for components and raw materials and to recognize excellent partner companies with certificates, after assessing their management of hazardous substances. SAMSUNG Electronics' Semiconductor Division also acquired a Sony Green Partner Certificate in 2003 and renews it every year.

SAMSUNG Electronics set up e-HMS Environmental Hazardous Substances Management System) in order to efficiently operate its eco-partner certification system and to prevent non-certified parts/raw materials from being used in manufacturing. Towards this aim, SAMSUNG Electronics prohibits hazardous substances from being contained in products that it uses, and abides by international environmental standards.

SAMSUNG Electronics Semiconductor Division offers Eco-search, a customized online information service focused on environmentally friendly semiconductors that has been in operation since 2006. Through this service, we offer environmental information on semiconductors and raw materials to all customers who are interested in purchasing them.
